The numerator is the top number. It shows how many parts of the whole. The denominator is the bottom number, and it shows how many total parts. If you have a fraction like 7/10, it means there are 7 parts of 10. For example, a person might eat 7/10 of a pie. That's a lot of pie!!!!

The Numerator is like how much the fraction is eather shaded or colored in and the Denominator is how many spaces there are total. your student,S.M.G

the numerator means how many are shaded.say with the number 10 and you have 11 boxes you would shade in 10 boxes.

The mumerator is the top mumber of the fraction . It shows how many parts of the set,line , or whole that are shaded.
